About Rohit
I have been teaching drums professionally for 8 years now. I have taught over 150 students in both group settings and 1 on 1 private teaching. I worked with Deccan International school for 1 year and Octavium Music Academy for 4 years. I specialize in teaching various styles of music such as Jazz, Rock, Funk, Hip hop, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian. I am well versed in music theory, so my students can not only play, but also read and write music. I am a full time musician. So apart from teaching, I perform with the bands that I play for, and I toured India with local and international musicians. I also record drums for songwriters in the studio.

I am a firm believer of learning concepts. So I have laid out a road map covering various topics that are classified into different levels, JUST LIKE A VIDEO GAME.
This is going to cover:
1. Hand and foot techniques (absolutely essential because I don't want you to injure yourself)
2. Reading and writing music
3. Beats from different styles of music,etc to more advanced concepts like polyrhythms, metric-modulation, improvisation,etc.
That being said, I've had students who just want to play songs at home on weekends as well as students who are doing music as a full time career. So we can figure out what path you can take based on your musical goals.
