About Matt
Matt Lannon is an acrobat of the heart. After receiving his Bachelor's degree in English/Film, he traveled to learn more from other ways of life. He found that the more people he met, the more his writing and other crafts improved. Matt has worked for online editorial rooms and multiple film productions since 2021. Alongside that, he traveled to the Sacred Valley of Peru to receive his 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification.

I want to help students become better writers with a style true to their thoughts. No ChatGPT needed, just permission to trust your thoughts to lead you towards your next good grade. First, I want to get to know each student. This will be done through creative writing exercises that give students permission to write without a filter. Fewer restrictions on the paper lead to fewer restrictions in thought. A free thinker makes for a better liberal arts student. Next, I will help them format their thoughts in an organized, professional manner. It's one thing to have a good idea, but it's another to have a good idea with structure and flow. Finally, I hope each student leaves with more confidence. Not just as a writer, but as a person in general. I'll end each session with time for reflection. What we made great progress on and what could we have done better. Then, plan a way to come to the next class better and calmer.
