About Maeghan
Hi! I’m Mae—a creative, energetic theatre lover who believes that performing should always be fun, expressive, and full of imagination. I’ve worked with children and young people for over six years, and I’m passionate about helping others discover their confidence through creativity.
I’m also a cosplayer, which means I love bringing characters to life—from the way they move and speak to the stories they tell. For me, theatre and cosplay go hand in hand: both are about stepping into someone else’s shoes, exploring new worlds, and finding joy in self-expression.
People often describe me as warm, approachable, and full of positive energy. I love creating genuine connections with my students and making everyone feel valued and supported.
My teaching style is filled with encouragement, patience, and care—because I believe that when students feel safe and loved for who they are, that’s when they shine the brightest. If you are nervous or less familiar with theatre, don't worry. I am here for you as a student and I am always happy to slow down the process to fit your style of learning.
My lessons are relaxed, inclusive, and full of laughter. I like to start each session with a check-in to see how everyone’s feeling, then dive into activities that encourage play, imagination, and teamwork.
Whether we’re creating a new character, acting out a scene, or exploring movement and voice, my goal is to make every class feel safe, supportive, and inspiring.

My method of instruction is based on confidence-building, creativity, and teamwork. My main goal is to establish a fun, safe, and welcoming atmosphere where kids may freely express their own opinions and perspectives. In order to promote self-awareness and group connection, each course starts with a check-in to assess energy levels and emotions while also finishing with a check-out to gather feedback but also observe the change in environment and connection.
In order to accommodate each person's requirements and skills, I combine improvisation, music, vocal practice, ensemble exercises, and character study. My approach encourages students to take creative risks while fostering communication, empathy, and self-expression by fusing aspects of process drama, creative play, and practical theatre.
Depending on the age and size of the group, lessons usually last between 45 and 60 minutes. For more complex or project-based work, such as scene study, devised performances, or character study rehearsals, longer sessions (up to 90 minutes) are offered.
I graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Creative Arts and Community Wellbeing (Theatre).
I have worked in a variety of settings with kids and teens between the ages of two and twenty-five. I've collaborated on inclusive, ensemble-based shows as an assistant theatre director at Sheldon College and Indelability Arts. I've also led community and youth seminars on well-being, confidence, and artistic expression. In the theatre space, support workers are welcome with the decision made by the participant.
Students of all skill levels, from small children to young adults, are welcome to attend my theatrical classes. My objective is to assist every student discover delight in the creative process and feel empowered to express themselves genuinely, both on stage and off, whether they are learning advanced acting techniques or getting their first taste of performing.

My pricing reflects both my experience and my commitment to making the arts accessible for everyone. Having spent several years working within the disabled community, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful creativity and self-expression can be in building confidence and connection.
Because of this, I aim to keep my lessons affordable and flexible, ensuring that students of all abilities have the opportunity to explore theatre in a supportive environment.
I’m always happy to discuss individual circumstances or offer tailored session plans to meet personal and financial needs—inclusivity and understanding are at the heart of everything I do.
