About Amaya

Hi! I am currently studying a Bachelor of Accounting and Business at Monash University. I completed VCE in 2024 and I understand the challenges that students may face during their educational experiences. Therefore I am highly motivated to contribute to helping students to develop confidence in their ability to learn and show it can be enjoyable and rewarding. My aim would be to establish a positive and supportive environment in which students can build their understanding and fulfill their highest academic potential.

About the lesson

Tutoring sessions are one-on-one, offered both online and in-person for English and Maths (Years 1–10). VCE Business Management sessions will only be held online. All lessons will be personalised and tailored to each student's academic needs and learning style to ensure they receive the best learning experience possible. The content will be taught using various teaching methods so students feel confident while developing their understanding. Lessons are flexible and designed to accommodate each student's schedule, pace, and academic goals.

Amaya's response
I have done two lessons with Robbie's daughter and it is going well so far. We have started with the area of learning Robbie suggested which is her handwriting. One area of improvement would be her ability to maintain focus, but that is a work in progress.

We’ve had such a positive experience with Amaya. She is professional, reliable and has a lovely way of making the children feel comfortable and supported during their sessions.

Since working with her, I’ve noticed a real improvement in their confidence, particularly in how willing they are to have a go, ask questions and work through things independently. She is patient, encouraging and clearly puts a lot of thought into how she works with each child.

It’s been really reassuring to see the progress they’ve made, both academically and in their confidence. I would highly recommend Amaya to any parent looking for a professional, supportive and genuinely caring tutor.
