My name is Faiyaz Rahman, and I specialize in teaching Physics and Mathematics to IGCSE and A-Level students, with a strong focus on the Edexcel curriculum.
My Teaching Approach
I believe Physics and Math are not subjects to memorize, but systems to understand. My lessons are built around three pillars:
Concept Mastery First
I break down complex theories into clear, intuitive explanations. In Physics, we focus on understanding the “why” behind formulas. In Math, we build logical thinking so students can approach unfamiliar problems confidently.
Exam-Focused Strategy
I train students to recognize patterns in past papers, understand mark schemes, and structure answers to maximize marks. We practice timed questions regularly to improve speed and accuracy.
Active Learning & Problem Solving
Students don’t just listen — they solve. I guide them step-by-step through challenging problems, then gradually increase difficulty to build independence and confidence.
Lesson Structure
• Typical lesson length: 60 to 90 minutes
• First 10–15 minutes: Review of previous work and addressing doubts
• Core session: Concept explanation + guided practice
• Final segment: Exam-style questions and quick recap
Homework and structured practice are provided when needed to reinforce learning.
