About Victoria

Hello! My name is Victoria, and I am a University of Guelph student pursuing the Arts and Science program with a special interest in biology and sociology. I was a top student while in high school and continue to have the same commitment to learning, growth, and professionalism within my university studies. I am dedicated to helping others to succeed and believe that with the right guidance and support, any student can build confidence and reach their full potential. I am a committed, approachable, and patient tutor who always attempts to create a positive and inspiring learning environment. A+, here we come!

About the lesson

My tutoring style is hands-on, personalized, and practical. I use real-life examples coupled with tried-and-tested methods to render the subject more accessible and enjoyable. Every lesson is individually geared to suit the specific needs of the student, with consideration for their objectives and learning style so that our time spent together is productive and meaningful. A typical session starts with a quick review of what we covered in our last lesson, followed by introducing the new concepts through engaging discussions and examples. We then apply what we learned through practice, with personalized feedback and instructions to reinforce learning. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to accommodate the pace and needs of each student while presenting a supportive and upbeat environment. I don't just make students do homework — I work towards instilling confidence over the long term and a firm foundation in skills. I teach a variety of students, from young students building basic reading and writing skills to high school students requiring help with essays, creative writing, or thesis projects. Regardless of level, I aim to make English functional, accessible, and enjoyable!

Victoria is an avid reader of different genres and also writes poetry and journals. She is finishing her first year in Arts and Science at Guelph University. She enjoys music and her guitar. Victoria is a fun loving and gentle soul. She is caring and is drawn to helping people. She has taught other family members in French as well. I recommend Victoria as a well grounded, skilled, knowledgeable and caring tutor or teacher.
