About Ailsa Louise
Hi, I'm Ailsa—a passionate, committed, and empathetic tutor with over four years of experience working with students aged 6–19 across a range of humanities subjects. I’m currently studying for an MPhil in History of Art at the University of Cambridge, where I also completed my BA (Hons) in Art History, graduating with a Starred First Class and the highest mark in my year. I specialise in Art History, History, Music Theory, and Oxbridge admissions support, including interview preparation and personal statement guidance. I'm an experienced Art History A Level teacher, working both online and with a London-based educational charity. I also lecture in secondary schools across the UK and have worked as a SEN teacher in a secondary school setting. As an alumna of the Royal Academy of Music, I offer Music Theory lessons up to Grade 5, as well as GCSE Music. I hold a valid Enhanced DBS and design all my sessions around the individual needs, goals, and learning styles of each student.

I offer engaging support in Art History A-Level, History A-Level and GCSE, as well as University and Oxbridge admissions, including personal statement and interview guidance. My teaching style mirrors the Oxbridge supervision model—I challenge students with open-ended questions and help them develop strong, independent critical thinking skills. I design personalised learning programmes tailored to each student's abilities, goals, and learning preferences. With over four years of teaching and SEN experience, I’m a passionate, committed, and empathetic educator who takes pride in helping students thrive and achieve their goals.
