About Erin
I have a B.A. in philosophy from Western University, an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Windsor, an M.J. (master of journalism) from the University of British Columbia and am currently embarking on an Argumentation Studies PhD at the University of Windsor. I have developed extensive written communication skills over the course of my degrees, as well as in my professional life, where I have worked as an editor as well as writing for and interning at journalism publications. I have also completed significant research projects, including a thesis as part of my M.A. in philosophy, and am experienced with the conventions and expectations of academic writing. I have held several Graduate Assistant positions in which I assisted professors in their teaching and grading responsibilities, as well as helping to develop course content.

I believe we learn best by doing, so that is the approach I take to teaching. I structure my classes around projects/papers the students already have in progress, or create a new project that aligns with their specific learning goals. There are many different ways to learn, so my focus is on finding the approach that works best for each individual student.
