Although I took lessons some time ago with Mariela, I remember her being very patient with us (the group were total beginners).
As she knew I was studying before moving to Argentina, she would point out basic differences in the language for me in particular. It all helped :)

Mariela is a fantastic, friendly tutor who I have worked closely with for many years. Reliable and professional, Mariela has helped my Spanish has developed hugely in the past two years that we have done smaller group weekly Zoom sessions. Although we now only speak in Spanish I never feel anxious about understanding, and if necessary Mariela can support in perfect English. Although Mariela is Argentinian, in our sessions and subsequent homework tasks she exposes me to different accents and phrases from across the Spanish-speaking world. I would feel comfortable chatting informally in a bar or using my Spanish skills in a more professional setting. I love our lessons and we often end up chatting away in between our set teaching tasks. I cannot recommend Mariela enough.

Mariela taught me Spanish in my build up before leaving to go live in Argentina. She is a phenomenal teacher; she’s patient, kind, keeps things fun, and of course, rigorous. Thank you for helping me love learning Spanish and supporting me to believe that anyone can learn it!

I wanted to learn Spanish speaking and writing skills and with this tutor I enjoyed my classes incredibly. She’s amicably and focuses on all the key points of learning lengthy and difficult sentences in simple forms and easy to comprehend. I highly recommend her totally amazing and easy going.

Mariela thought me in a group class when I was still a beginner and our class loved her! She was always so patient and had an answer for everything, always in Spanish so we got a better understanding. She also gave me one-on-one classes for travel when I went travelling to South America. I’d completely recommend her, everything was really relaxed and I enjoyed going to her lessons and improving week on week.
