About Amelia
I love archaeology, history, mythology, and anthropology with all of my heart and I love helping to make those topics more accessible. I have an MA in Archaeology, with a focus on the ENEA region (Egypt, Near East, and Asia). I have a BA in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology and I can (and will) happily hold a solid conversation about Graeco-Roman history or a discussion on cultural heritage/endangered archaeology.
I can also offer extremely rudimentary and shallow conversations on Medieval Europe & China, general American history, Edo Period Japan, and the Qin and Song dynasties of China, but I imagine those conversations would be a little less interesting or enjoyable. Oh, and bonus: some light musings on NAGPRA.
I am American, so please forgive any bizarre spellings and/or general 'Americanisms'.
Also, fun fact about me: I travel a lot, and often miss flights. Spent many nights in airports.

I like to meet with any potential students so I can tailor the lessons more to them. The length of the lesson and the method I use will largely depend on what the student needs and the level of the student: for example, if they are a first-year undergraduate asking for archaeology help, the lessons will likely be a touch longer or denser than if they were in 8th-grade needing history lessons.
I want the lessons to be a dialogue between myself and the student so demands and expectations can be clearly and explicitly communicated.
I have some experience as a TA across various archaeology courses (usually first-year undergraduate or introductory courses) and several years' experience as a history tutor for high schoolers (13-17 years old).
