About Abbas
I am a Year 13 student with a strong interest in History and Politics, currently predicted ABB with an A in History. I am passionate about helping A Level students build confidence, develop a clear understanding, and improve their exam performance through structured and supportive tutoring.
I have received university offers to study Politics-related courses, and I am currently holding offers from Durham, Nottingham, Warwick and Queen Mary University of London, which reflects my commitment to academic study and effective exam technique.
Alongside my studies, I am a Holocaust Educational Trust Ambassador for Wolverhampton, where I promote historical understanding, critical thinking, and respectful discussion of complex topics. I am also a CWMUN Youth Delegate, which has strengthened my research, communication, and presentation skills, all of which I bring into my tutoring.
I have experience supporting younger students through tutoring and academic mentoring, and I understand the challenges A Level students face with content, exam technique, and confidence. My approach is calm, patient, and exam-focused, helping students break topics down into manageable steps and apply their knowledge effectively.
I am particularly suited to tutoring A Level History students, and I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to make real progress.

I take a structured, exam-focused approach to tutoring, tailored to each student’s ability and confidence. My lessons focus on building secure subject knowledge first, then applying this knowledge to exam questions using clear techniques and mark-scheme language. I regularly use past paper questions, model answers, and guided practice to help students understand what examiners are looking for and how to improve their marks.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and follows a clear structure: a short recap of previous learning, focused teaching of one topic or skill, exam-style question practice, and detailed feedback with clear targets for improvement. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student, breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and encouraging students to ask questions throughout.
I am a Year 13 student predicted ABB with an A in History, and I have experience supporting younger students through tutoring and academic mentoring. I am also a Holocaust Educational Trust Ambassador and a CWMUN Youth Delegate, which has strengthened my subject knowledge, communication skills, and ability to explain historical concepts clearly and sensitively.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE History students, particularly those studying AQA, and are ideal for students in Years 9–11 who want to improve their understanding, exam technique, and confidence ahead of assessments and exams
