¡Hola! Mi nombre es Rebekah Salazar. Soy originaria de Guatemala y actualmente vivo en Hacienda Heights, California. Nací y crecí en la Ciudad de Guatemala, donde aprendí el español como mi lengua materna. Tengo una maestría en Translation and Localization Management, con una especialización en traducción al español. Durante mis estudios de maestría, realicé una pasantía en la Cruz Roja Americana como traductora y redactora en español, donde traduje y revisé contenido para la aplicación móvil, artículos para el sitio web, materiales de capacitación, testimonios, presentaciones y otras comunicaciones digitales dirigidas a la comunidad hispana.

Fuera de los estudios, me apasiona explorar diferentes culturas y establecer conexiones con personas de todo el mundo. En mi tiempo libre, disfruto aprender portugués en Duolingo, hacer senderismo y armar rompecabezas.

About the lesson

Me encantaría ayudarte a aprender español, ya sea que estés dando tus primeros pasos en el idioma o que quieras mejorar tus habilidades conversacionales. Mi objetivo es crear un ambiente amigable y relajado en el que puedas aprender a tu propio ritmo, practicar conversaciones cotidianas, ampliar tu vocabulario y ganar confianza al expresarte en español.

Creo que aprender un idioma va más allá de estudiar gramática: también se trata de comunicarse, conectar con otras personas y descubrir nuevas culturas. Como guatemalteca, me encantaría compartir contigo mi idioma y algunos aspectos de mi cultura. Quiero que nuestras conversaciones sean una oportunidad para aprender, cometer errores sin miedo y desarrollar poco a poco la confianza necesaria para comunicarte de manera más natural.
