About Jill
I earned my BS in Psychology (with Pre Med courses), and continued with earning my Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC). There is a heavy anatomy & physiology emphasis in the chiropractic curriculum due to a chiropractor's role as a holistic, neuromusculoskeletal expert provider. I graduated valedictorian of my doctorate class.
I always have had a passion for teaching, and tutored all through my undergrad and graduate programs. After earning my doctorate, I took a full time job in private practice treating patients while also teaching evening anatomy courses because I simply love teaching students about the human body.
I followed that passion and decided to teach college anatomy and physiology full time, which is what I do today. I am incredibly grateful I have found my passion in a job where I get to do what I love. I can't wait to share that with you in helping you be successful in your anatomy course!

Simple concepts need to stay simple! It is essential to solidify the basic, foundational concepts in order to succeed in an anatomy & physiology course.
An anatomy and physiology course requires A LOT of memorization, however creative memory tricks and tips can make that memorization not only easier, but also more fun! I love working with students to suggest and come up with ways to remember concepts that they will never forget.
All of my lesson plans include various types of interactive activities and TONS of quizzing. The best way to reinforce material and succeed in an anatomy course is repetition and recall, and having someone to help you with that process will help you be successful! I also love providing test taking strategies to help boost exam scores not only in your anatomy course, but in any critical thinking course you may have.
I enjoy working with virtually all levels of students, having experience teaching/tutoring anatomy & physiology from high school through grad level students.
