About Amira
Hi! I'm Amira, currently in my third and final year pursuing an undergraduate degree in Criminology. During my leisure time, I find joy in exploring nature through walks and capturing moments that catch my eye with photography. I'm fuelled by a passion for discovering new destinations and cultures, often travelling to different places and countries. Cooking and baking serve as both a creative outlet and a delightful way to experiment with flavours and cuisines. Additionally, I cherish spending quality time with friends and family, enriching my life with meaningful connections and shared experiences.Although I am a student just like you, I want to tutor because I find immense satisfaction in helping others grasp challenging concepts. As a fellow student, I understand the struggles and frustrations that can come with learning new material. Therefore, I want to share my knowledge and experiences to make the learning journey smoother for my peers. Tutoring not only allows me to reinforce my own understanding of the subject matter but also fosters a sense of fulfillment knowing that I am contributing to someone else's academic success.

As a tutor, my approach is centered on fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs. I employ a variety of techniques including interactive discussions, visual aids, real-life examples, and problem-solving exercises to ensure comprehensive understanding and retention of the material. My teaching methodology emphasises active participation and critical thinking to empower students in mastering the subject matter. Typically, a lesson with me lasts around an hour, allowing ample time for thorough exploration of concepts while maintaining focus and productivity. With a background in A Level Psychology, sociology and criminology (as well as my current degree), I bring both expertise and empathy to my tutoring sessions. My lessons cater to anyone studying these 3 subjects, and I will ensure there is personalised guidance for each student's educational journey.
