About Julie
Hello! I work in Denver as a public defender representing indigent individuals charged with crimes in Colorado. In high school, I scored 5s (highest score) on my English Language, English Literature, and U.S. History AP exams. I scored an 800 (highest score) on my U.S. History SAT II exam. I graduated Haverford College magna cum laude and phi beta kappa with a BA in Political Science. I graduated Yale Law School in 2018 with my JD and then worked for two federal judges: one on The United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit one on The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. In both positions I reviewed parties' briefings and advised on case rulings. I also drafted over a dozen legal opinions. After two years of clerking, I moved to Colorado to become a public defender. I read and write constantly in my job and am read extensively in Classical Literature, Modern Fiction, and Op/Eds. I currently tutor students in high school English and admissions essay writing.

I am a single father of 2. Obviously I have my hands FULL! I would love to take time and help my two sons write their college essays but it’s hard enough working two jobs and being a personal cab driver for 2! Luckily, I found Julie and she really understood how to sit my two sons down and teach them to express themselves on a level that would interest a university. A true achievement indeed! Cherry on top, they both got accepted to their reach schools! Thank you Julie! Highly recommend.
