About Maya

I have had the privilege to train with Broadway and film professionals through programs like the Broadway Student Summit and the School of Creative and Performing Arts. I am a working actor and playwright, and have been on both sides of the audition process. I‘ve been fortunate enough to win several awards and monologue competitions, and I would love to help you strengthen your talents and boost your confidence!

About the lesson

I am an alum of the School of Creative and Performing arts in New York City. I have trained with working Broadway and film professionals through the Broadway Student Summit. I have been fortunate enough to receive awards for Outstanding Up and Coming Actress and Outstanding Lead Performer in a Musical, as well as stand out awards for excellence in acting classes. I also have extensive teaching experience. I worked as an apprentice at Orlando Family Stage, where I helped foster creativity and instill confidence in young kids pursuing the arts. I also worked with New Hope for Kids, an organization that works to support grieving children through activities and community, where I taught improvisation and held a reading of an original play, aiding kids and teens in working through hardship while growing through the arts. Currently, I work with a virtual theater company, Amateur Broadway, as a coach, where I teach acting, acting through song, improvisation, scene study and cold reading. I believe that the arts can be a powerful tool of self expression, and whether you want to pursue them as a hobby, a career, or to step outside your comfort zone, I would love to work with you to create affordable, customizable training to work towards your goals and boost your confidence!
