About Kelvin Ejumevwo

Boost your Algebra, SAT, and High School/College Math scores by 2+ grade levels. Get patient, step-by-step coaching that turns confusion into total confidence.

Hi, I’m Kelvin—your go-to Math and Algebra tutor!
Are you struggling with tricky equations, drowning in functions, or preparing for high-stakes exams like the Digital SAT, ACT, or AP Calculus? Math can often feel like a foreign language, but with the right approach, anyone can master it.

I am an active International School Mathematics teacher with 14+ years of teaching and tutoring experience, and I hold a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics and an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics. Over the past decade, I’ve helped hundreds of students across the US, UK, Canada, and around the globe turn "I hate math" into "This is actually easy!"

Why Students & Parents Love Working With Me:
• Patience & Empathy First: Like my students always say, no question is a silly question. If a concept doesn't click the first time, I have 5 different ways to re-explain it until you reach that "Aha!" moment.
• Real-World & Intuitive Explanations: We strip away confusing textbook jargon and translate abstract formulas into visual, step-by-step logic you can easily map out.
• Institutional-Grade Expertise: Having taught from high school basics all the way to university-level mathematics, I don't just teach you how to solve a problem—I teach you why it works so the knowledge sticks forever.
• Proven Score Upgrades: My students routinely see +150–200 point jumps on the SAT/ACT and consistent A/A* grade upgrades in high school and college courses.

Whether you need urgent help with a tough homework assignment due tomorrow, need to close deep foundational gaps, or want a structured game plan to ace your upcoming exams, I've got you covered.

About the lesson

About the Lesson & Approach
My sessions are flexible, highly interactive, and completely tailored to your personal learning pace and goals. I provide all the practice materials, targeted notes, and strategic shortcuts you need to succeed.

What My 5-Step Session Flow Looks Like:
1. Warm-Up & Diagnostic Recall: A quick 5-minute problem to activate prior knowledge and spot hidden foundational gaps early.
2. Interactive Concept Breakdown: Clear, live instruction using visual models, Desmos graphing tools, and real-time step-by-step walkthroughs.
3. Real-Time Check & Guided Practice: You solve problems while I guide your thinking (no pressure, zero stress!), correcting small mechanics before they become habits.
4. Exam-Ready Efficiency: Master algebraic shortcuts, calculator hacks (including advanced Desmos strategies for the DSAT), and error-checking methods.
5. Enrichment & Homework Help: Targeted review on your exact school workload so you leave every class with completed, fully understood assignments.

Subjects & Curricula I Specialize In:
• High School & College Core: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus.
• Advanced & University Math: AP Calculus (AB/BC), Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, IB Math (SL/HL), Pure & Applied Math.
• Standardized Exams & Test Prep: Digital SAT (DSAT) Math, ACT Math, GED, Regents, GCSE/IGCSE, and A-Level Math (Edexcel, AQA, CIE).
• Homework & Deadline Support: Bring your toughest assignment to class and let’s tackle it together step-by-step!

What to Expect in Your 1st Trial Lesson
Finding the right tutor is all about the right match. In our first session, we will:
1. Identify Your Gaps (15 Mins): A friendly, zero-pressure mini-assessment to target exactly where you're getting stuck.
2. Solve 2–3 Tricky Topics (20 Mins): Experience immediate clarity on a topic you currently struggle with.
3. Build Your Personalized Roadmap (15 Mins): Map out a clear, step-by-step study plan tailored to your grade targets and deadlines.
