About Divan
I'm a qualified teacher who holds a Bachelor's degree in teaching, having majored in Afrikaans and English. I have over 10 years of experience teaching Afrikaans to learners who have zero Afrikaans background or knowledge of the language in a fairly successful manner.

I prefer 1 on 1 lessons. Simplified content and also semi fluent in African languages so I can translate Afrikaans content into the students mother tongue for better understanding. I make use of basic phonics , spelling tests and dictionary translation work to built a solid foundation and understanding of content
