About Emma
I have dual degrees in English (Creative Writing) and Theatre/Drama from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. There, I began my professional tutoring career as an AmeriCorps member, tutoring students in Algebra and Geometry. Though I love math, I now find myself tutoring students in English and all things written.

I work well with students of all age, as my approach to teaching is based on the individual students' needs. I work to ensure that the time we spend together is not only based on what I find to be most valuable about my subjects, but toward what the student values most and is excited to learn. For this reason, every day begins with a goal, and every initial meeting will begin with outlining the areas of improvement so that our work is focused on learning, rather than acing assignments.
