About Coralie
Following my undergraduate studies in Secondary English Education, I taught 10-12th grade English and K5-6th grade general subjects as a substitute teacher for one year. Afterward, I was invited to work for the publishing company that was affiliated with the school where I was teaching. For two years, I helped this organization improve the style of its interoffice and customer communications.

I have always used a spiral method of teaching: that is, I lead students to a new concept by reviewing concepts that they already understand. This spiral method works well for many academic subjects, but particularly well with English: for example, if the student’s goal is to learn how to write an essay, we will first review the different types of paragraph development, coherence and unity of the paragraph, the brainstorming and outlining process, etc. If these concepts are unfamiliar to the student, then I will fall back on a concept that the student is familiar with, and move forward from there to make the transition from the known to the unknown smooth for the student.
