About
I'm an actor/director/playwright and independent acting coach who's been working successfully in the New York theatre world for over thirty years. I've worked both as an actor and director which gives me an advantage of experiencing the creation of powerful performances from both ends of the spectrum. I work with students under the principle notion that acting is action based... that's why it's called ACTing and NOT EMOTing. Emotion in acting comes as a result of passionately pursuing a need, and how a character reacts, responds and adapts to achieve their objective, is what reveals their character. I work with actors on developing an individual process that can expand their range and free their acting instincts which can serve them on stage or on camera to get the results they desire. I cover audition preparation, choosing material, monologues, scene study, script analysis, commercial sides, cold reading, improvisational techniques that help you stand out from the crowd and achieve true authenticity as an artist not just an "actor".
