About Dylan
Hi! I’m Dylan, a chemistry undergraduate at the University of Manchester. I've been tutoring for a few years now and have a firsthand understanding of the challenges students face when preparing for exams. I know what it takes to succeed—having achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry and an A* in my A-levels—and I’m passionate about helping others perform at their best. Whether you’re struggling with certain topics or just looking to boost your grades, I’m here to support you at every stage of your learning journey. I have experience tutoring students of all abilities and am happy to adapt to your individual learning needs. No question is too small—my goal is to create an environment where you feel confident and motivated to learn. Outside of studying, I’m a big sports fan, especially football, and I enjoy going to the gym and experimenting with new foods. I believe that a balanced approach to life helps keep a clear mind, and I like to bring that positive attitude into my lessons. Looking forward to working with you and helping you reach your full potential in chemistry!

I try to keep lessons fun and engaging throughout with a variety of techniques helping you develop the best understanding possible. In lessons we will go through content or exam questions tailored to the specification (depending on time of year/student's needs). I like to use lots of diagrams, as I find chemistry is made much simpler when you're able to visualise it, as well as providing comprehensive explanations of the theory that underpins it. Active recall will be ever present throughout, I like to spend the first 5 minutes of a lesson with a quiz on the previous lessons and finish up with a clear plan for the next.

Dylan was an amazing tutor he always explained everything so so well and always took his time to explain things i didn't understand. Dylan really boosted my confidence in chemistry and all sciences in general . In just a few months Dylan got me from a grade 3 to a high grade 5 with only a few marks away from a 6.
