About Thomas
I am a 20 year old student at the University of Sheffield with my biggest hobby being guitar on music making using Ableton.
I want to do a job I will be passionate about and that feels worthwhile, which teaching first comes to mind for me. I would love to share my enthusiasm for the subjects I teach with any interested students, and to see my students grow as they learn more.
I am a kind person with great interpersonal skills and am sure I will be able to make any student feel comfortable to learn to understand and to love the subject they learn.

Each maths or physics lesson will be an hour, using the first 10 minutes to go over any questions about the previous lesson and check over any extra work, then 20 minutes for introduction to the lesson subject and in depth explanation, 10 minutes where I go through worked examples with the student, 15 minutes for the student to do some independent working where I will be there for any questions they have or help they need, and the last 5 minutes to give any extra work to do before the next session.
I am a 3rd year Aerospace Engineering masters student with only experience in tutoring friends and family in these subjects, but i have achieved A* A A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics A levels respectively, 8 A 9 in these GCSEs also. I have achieved amongst the highest Maths exam scores in all my university maths modules also.
These lessons would be perfect for any level students from year 7 to year 13 in Maths, Further Maths and Physics.
For guitar lessons the lessons would be more catered to the individual wherein the student's goal of the lessons decides the structure. For example, for students looking to expand their knowledge for songwriting, the lessons would be structured with time allocated to discussing theory concepts, practicing the basics, and then listening to and learning real world examples of these and how these are used, and how to use them in songwriting, with the final time used in ear-training.
I have achieved Grade 8 in Acoustic Guitar with Distinction and am proficient in electric guitar and in many guitar styles.
My guitar lessons would be perfect for any age beginner to intermediate students who want to discover a passion for guitar, and for songwriting.
