About George
Hi, I'm George a 2nd year Physics student at the University of Edinburgh. I began tutoring my family and friends during my A-levels and since then have helped several pupils of various abilities in Physics and Maths. I care about helping my students achieve their best and find it fulfilling to watch them improve in skills and in confidence.
I am a calm and diligent teacher who always strives to give pupils a thorough baseline understanding of the subject matter. Maths and Physics are difficult and so require careful and precise explanations at all levels. It is through careful and precise understanding that I was able to achieve grades A*AA in Physics, Maths and Further Maths at A-level and I truly believe that every student has the potential to reach the highest grades.

I believe in a personalised tailor-made approach to teaching because what motivates and engages one student doesn't necessarily work for another. I like to take the time to get to know students and their learning style before jumping into more structured sessions. In these, we can cover Higher, Advanced Higher, and A-level Maths and Physics.
My students typically come to me for:
* Specific concept and topic support
* Guided exam style questions
* Homework help
However I am also more than happy to help with exam prep and revision strategies for other syllabuses (e.g. Nat 5, GCSE). My lessons are typically 1hr but just send me a message to discuss you or your child's needs and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
