About Aiyla
I am going into my 2nd year of study at Balliol College, Oxford. It has not been an easy journey to get here! Throughout school, I always aimed to be a high-achiever, but I found my learning style was not conducive to every day teaching methods used in the classroom. It was only with one-on-one interactions with teachers and mentors, discussing my specific problems and tackling them from a different perspective, that I really began to find my love for learning and niche interests. I would love to be able to provide the same inspiration to younger students who don't feel like the conventional school day suits them.

- I am available to teach the following: A level maths and biology, AS level chemistry, GCSE maths, biology, chemistry, further maths, english language and english literature.
- My approach to tutoring takes into consideration not only the areas the student would like to work on, but also how their strengths in certain areas can be applied across subjects to boost confidence and promote greater understanding across the board.
- Depending on the student's individual needs, lessons would be between 40minutes to an hour. Rates start from £15 per hour, and are flexible.
- I have a year's worth of experience as a teaching assistant, mentor and form tutor from a high-achieving secondary school in London, and will apply all skills and resources I have from my position.
- My lessons will be to promote a basic understanding of those tough-to-grasp concepts (particularly in STEM), and then will aim to boost confidence and scores in exams by looking at regulated exam techniques with example questions and paper work.
- I am a particularly passionate individual about tailoring work schemes to student's individual working styles, even if these are not conventional.
