About Jess

I’m a dedicated student with strong academic results and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. Having worked hard to master challenging subjects myself, I know what it feels like to struggle at first and then finally have things click. That experience is a big part of why I want to teach. I love being able to break concepts down in a way that actually makes sense and seeing a student’s confidence grow when they realize they can understand the content. Teaching gives me the chance to support others through that journey, to make learning feel less overwhelming, and to help students reach their goals with clarity and confidence.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring chemistry is grounded in patience, clarity, and meeting each student exactly where they are. I know how overwhelming chem can feel, balancing concepts, calculations, and memorization, so I focus on breaking everything down into simple, logical steps that actually make sense. I always start by understanding how a student learns and what parts of the content are causing stress or confusion, then tailor my explanations, examples, and practice questions to suit their style. I’m big on creating a safe, relaxed space where students feel comfortable admitting what they don’t get, because that honesty is what leads to real progress. Above all, I want my students to walk away not just with higher marks, but with genuine confidence and a stronger connection to the subject, knowing they can tackle even the trickiest topics with the right approach.
