About Aarushi
Hi, I'm Aarushi Samal, a first-year medical student at Queen's University Belfast. Having recently completed the Leaving Certificate myself, I understand both the challenges students face and the strategies that can help them succeed.
I want to teach because I enjoy helping others learn and gain confidence in their abilities. Throughout my own academic journey, I have found that having concepts explained clearly and receiving personalized support can make a significant difference. As a tutor, I aim to provide that same support by creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding.
Being a current university student also allows me to relate closely to Leaving Certificate students and share effective study techniques, revision strategies, and exam approaches that I have used successfully myself. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.

My teaching approach is student-centered and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I break complex topics into manageable steps, use clear explanations, and adapt lessons to each student's learning style. Emphasis is placed on active learning through worked examples, exam-style questions, and regular revision. I also teach effective exam techniques, time management, and answer structure to help students maximize their marks. Detailed notes provided on all topics
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although 90-minute sessions can be arranged.
Lessons are designed for Junior and Leaving Certificate students at both Higher and Ordinary Level. They are suitable for students seeking additional support with difficult topics, those aiming to improve their grades, and high-achieving students targeting top marks. Sessions can be tailored to 5th Year and 6th Year students
