About Chavoux
Hi,
If you have some so far, you are interested in my help to tutor you in one of the subjects of my expertise. From my side I can promise a wealth of background knowledge, with a focus on the practical applications of what you learn in real life.
I worked for a number of years as a computer programmer and software engineer, before starting a career as ecologist, working for the Cheetah Conservation Fund, Naankuse Wildlife Research and the Cape Leopard Trust after finishing my PhD. I did research on geographical models of Bontebok habitat preference, carrying capacity and sustainable stocking rates, as well as on farmer-predator conflict, animal behaviour and possible solutions to mitigate human-wildlife conflict.
Studying is ultimately not about passing exams and qualifications, but about the knowledge and skills we gain in the process. And for that I am willing to be your mentor, tutor and partner.
