About Alex
Qualified youth worker (JNC). Worked in the prison service for 2 years delivering interventions to young offenders. Set up a project focusing on mental health for young people entering prison. Mental health has become my niche over working within a prison setting, attaching youth work values to the delivery. I also have experience working with young people with different disabilities, developing their social skills.

My method is informal and uses creative pathways to understand what a young person needs to focus on. Informal youth work addresses social issues, so help surrounding sexual health, mental health, bullying, cv writing are normal topics within the social development of a young person, with the option of branching away from plans to work on a particular issue, impacting their personal life
