About Yukiko
I hold a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Violin Performance and am currently working as a freelance violinist in the New York and Montreal areas.
During the first three years of my undergraduate studies, my English was strong enough for academic work but not for mingling. As I worked to improve my language skills, I found that making new friends and speaking English regularly was the most effective way to gain confidence and fluency.
Because of this experience, I understand the challenges of learning a new language. I would be happy to help anyone studying Japanese who would like additional conversation practice in a supportive and encouraging environment.
