Your First Steps into Programming — Learn Python From Scratch One Concept at a Time, Taught Online

Zishan is a friend of mine from secondary school. He used to help me out with programming during computer science lessons, as it was something I always struggled a bit with. He would teach me in a way that helped me intuitively understand topics like functions and classes. He would do this by going through a real-life problem with me, and the solution would be the topic being taught.

Before I started with Zishan I had very little python experience. His explanations and smart use of analogies to teach each concept helped me build a deep understanding of programming. I really enjoyed how he taught the problem before the solution. It meant I immediately internalised why the tool I was learning for that lesson was useful and what sort of problems it is utilised for. Lastly, from the very first lesson he gave fun exercises to apply the newly learnt knowledge and ensure I’d truly grasped what was being taught.
