About Eric
Hi, my name is Eric. Born and raised in Shanghai, China, I moved to Australia 10 years ago, completing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in finance and accounting and a dual Master in Management and International Management.
While I learned a lot from my formal studies, living in other parts of the world taught me much more. I spent a semester at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, which improved my English language skills and understanding of Western culture. I then went on exchange to Portugal, immersing myself in the local scene while learning the language. These experiences were life-changing: enriching my mind, improving my confidence and opening me up to different values and viewpoints.
Today, I’m an Australian citizen based in Sydney and I am employed at global IT services and solutions leader. I currently work in Risk Management but my ambition is to help language students in my spare time and have a better understanding of cultures too.
