About Mariah

I am a twenty-year-old student that has fallen in love with practicing the guitar, who wants to also inspire that love in others. I've explored playing many genres such as jazz, latin, classical etc. I am passionate and patient, I believe in tailoring to each student's goals and will customize each lesson depending on the strengths of each student. My goal is to spark confidence in the student, being able to create a personalized approach to help students discover their own musical voice. I love playing fingerstyle guitar and jazz chords, I'm consistently trying to become a better guitarist every day, as there is always something new to learn!

About the lesson

Lessons will be for beginners looking to learn the basics and fundamentals of guitar playing, such as how to read music, barre chords, exploring different genres and playing techniques. They are also for people who generally want to improve their playing, and learn more.

Lessons will be very personalized and will fit the students comprehension and interest. We will learn songs and boost knowledge by learning in a low stress, safe, yet effective environment. Lessons will advance progressively as the student learns more.

I am extremely patient and will teach the best I can, even if we need to spend a week learning how to do a skill. The students progress and comfortability is my best interest, I want to teach the student how to fall in love with playing music, and to gain respect for their instrument.
