About Barbara
I studied Psychology because I have always wanted to help people. Then I ended up pursuing a different career and moving abroad. Today I live in the UK, I am a mum and I am trying to get a better life. I would love to help people get to know my native language and gain confidence when they speak or write, as I did with English some years ago thanks to my teachers.

I like listening to my students at first: what they already know, what they want to achieve, what their expectations are. My teaching methodology is based mostly on practising the "real" language that people use everyday. Conversation is the starting point from which we can get to analyse some grammar. Lessons are to be tailored to the student's needs. Typical length of a lesson is 45 to 60 minutes. All levels and ages are welcome. I have had only few experiences as a tutor (Psychology, English as a foreign language and Italian). I am a psychologist and a Celta qualified teacher.
