About Josh
Joshua Brown is a musician, music producer, music educator, singer/songwriter from Houston, Texas. Joshua currently holds a Master of Music from Tarleton State University and is currently studying Music Therapy at Sam Houston State University. Throughout his educational career, Joshua has experienced success teaching k-12 and collegiate courses of study in the United States.
Brown has collaborated with a host of prominent brands and artists including Coca-Cola, MOSAIC Marketing, KIPP, Lenny Williams, Mississippi Mass Choir, Dwele, Mel Waiters, Foreign Exchange, Howard Hewitt, Kathy Taylor, Lee England, Angie Stone, Solange, Scarface and Ndugu Chancler.

While I'm flexible in the utilization of alternative notation, I teach my vocal and instrumental music students standardized music theory through project based learning opportunities.
If you want to sing, play an instrument, produce or record music, then this course is for you. I am comfortable teaching all ages and ability levels. Regardless of previous musical success or failure, my course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn music.
This can be instrumental, classical, musical theater, popular music production and singing.
My classes are on Zoom and last about 45 minutes. I assess student ability at the beginning of music study, plan music learning experiences around ability level, and align the course of study with the goals and objectives of the student. I also create a lesson notes document and update assignments in class for student success.
Beginners, intermediate and professional artists, instrumentalists, engineers, and students will grow through their technical deficiencies and become comfortable with their musical abilities. Assignments will be selected based on student goals and objectives.
