About Treva
Sitting at the piano for 13 years as a performer taught me that technique is only as good as its application. After finishing my BM degree at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, I translated my performance life into 11 years of focused teaching.
I have worked with 142 students on everything from memorization techniques and rhythm to timing and complex chord voicing. Whether we are perfecting your posture and hand position, accompaniment skills, or digging into classical repertoire, the goal remains the same. Sight transposition, jazz improvisation, scales and arpeggios, or grade exam prep like ABRSM and Trinity are part of the daily rhythm here. Struggling with uneven scales or clunky chord changes happens to every pianist at some stage. I often find that small shifts in physical tension solve the most persistent technical hurdles. My approach uses 11 years of stage experience to simplify complex musical concepts. We focus on consistent practice routines that actually fit into your life.
The lessons prioritize audible results through constant modeling and live piano accompaniment. These 6 minutes of focused technical drills at the start of our time set the pace for the entire session. Developing your unique voice at the keyboard remains my primary objective. I look forward to hearing you play.
