About Austin
Design critiques should never be about the teacher dictating changes to your work. Real growth happens when you question your own spatial assumptions. Beginners often struggle with the gap between their vision and their SketchUp model.
I bridge this by focusing on technical precision in 3D modelling and floor planning. My session format depends entirely on the current state of your project. We look at everything from structural logic to the final rendering output. Feel free to bring your current board or a half finished model.

Holding an MArch from the Bartlett and a BA from Cambridge gives me a unique perspective on the spatial design challenges you face. My 8 years in the London computational design scene inform how I approach model making and rendering for all my students. I have guided 384 students through the stresses of portfolio development and design critiques.
These experiences with beginners and design students taught me that every project has an internal logic waiting to be discovered. I translate my background in Python and vector maths into practical spatial planning advice. You can expect a rigorous look at your presentation boards and conceptual clarity.
