About Nonjabulo

As I have previously stated, I chose teaching because I want students to experience a comfortable and fun yet educational environment beyond just sitting on a desk and listening to the tutor speaking. I believe that teaching is something more than just a student and tutor relationship because inorder for a student to understand what you are teaching you have to explore different tactics of learning to exercise inclusivity. That is my biggest aim in teaching.
In addition, in high school I was always someone who wanted to thoroughly understand something before I move on and that was a struggle because my teachers didn’t always have time to have a one on one with me and teach me to my understanding. So I wanted to open a space for other children to not go through what I went through because I would give them an experience my teachers failed to give me.

About the lesson

For many years I figured that one thing that tutors and teachers know is that people are different and think differently but they never apply the same mentality in teaching students. I believe that boxing a student into thinking only a certain way prevents them from actually learning. So for this very reason I created this space in the aim to change that system and create a space beyond a serious teacher or student behind a desk but a more comfortable environment that can enable a child to ask as many questions without being judged or feeling as though they are slow. I want to create a fun and educational experience in tutoring because I believe that between class and tutoring, there has to be at least one space where one is motivated to learn and I want that to be with my tutoring lessons. I am a student learning psychology. This is also an advantage because I have mastered the art of understanding individuals and this would come to my advantage to find different and unique ways of teaching to fully meet a student’s needs. In addition, being a student also means that I would know best to what kind of a teacher or tutor a student needs.
