About Kelly
Performing for 11 years across NYC and touring gave me a deep appreciation for the mechanics of live music. I remember the exact feeling of balancing sight playing with complex classical repertoire during my own early training.
Since then, I have taught 298 students the nuances of pedaling technique, music theory, and scales and arpeggios. Memorization techniques and chord voicing are also standard parts of my instruction for those wanting to play with greater freedom. Honestly, the most enjoyable part of my day is watching a student finally connect with the logic behind a difficult piece. It is simple but rewarding.

Do you often wonder why certain chord progressions sound more satisfying than others? I use my Bachelor of Music degree to break down complex theory into manageable steps during our time together. We work on your sight playing and classical repertoire to ensure you possess a solid foundation. If you do not have an instrument at home, I bring my own portable digital piano to your living room.
My approach involves clear guidance on pedalling technique and scales to improve your overall fluidity. I promise to keep our sessions grounded in the music you actually care about playing. You can rely on my 13 years of performance experience to guide your progress.
