About Forrest
"Bedroom producers often feel stuck when trying to add lyrics to their instrumental tracks. Admitting that I struggled with finishing songs for years was the turning point for my own creative process.
I now use that experience to help you focus on genre conventions for pop, country, folk, and R&B styles. We will work on imagery, rhyme schemes, metre, and the technical side of writing over chords.
My BA Commercial Music from BIMM Institute informs how I teach song structure and top-line development. I have spent 7 years refining this method to ensure that you stop overthinking and start writing every week.
You will learn how to turn basic concepts into finished songs through consistent practice and direct feedback. Whether you are a beginner or a working musician, we will develop your hooks and title concepts together. My goal is to keep you moving forward so you finish music you are proud of. I genuinely love seeing a student finish their first complete song."

"Finishing a song is the only way to improve your craft. You will learn to break your creative process into small wins to keep the momentum high. I use my BA Commercial Music training to guide you through verse, chorus, and bridge construction with ease. We implement a strategy where we finish a complete song together within our scheduled time.
You will get direct feedback on your lyrics and hooks to ensure your message hits home every time. My teaching style emphasises practical steps to help aspiring artists and beginners manage their workload without feeling overwhelmed. It is incredibly rewarding to watch a student go from an empty page to a demo they can share. Enjoying the process of writing is much easier when you actually have a finished product to show for your work."
