About Gretchen
"Do you find yourself struggling to bridge the gap between textbook theory and actual coding? After finishing my 11 years of work as a software engineer and graduating from a General Assembly bootcamp, I realized that practical application is everything. I focus on SQL, databases, and interview preparation for data structures.
I also cover JavaScript, APIs, backend basics, version control, and clean code practices. Coding is often about breaking things to learn how they work. Sometimes things just break. I teach using the same project first mindset that got me through my own career transitions."
