I am an ex-touring musician with over 30 years of experience playing in support and playing with Grammy winning acts. In addition, during the 30+ years I have been teaching and coaching beginners to Grammy winning artists on songwriting, arranging and guitar skills and theory.

I tailor my lessons for each individual student's needs whether they are learning as a hobby, band live performance, school band or music school placement. I teach practical, understandable fundamentals for all levels which includes formation of the basic open chords and right and left hand mechanics and navigation and strumming techniques in a hands-on format. My students learn counting in measures, intervals, ear training, reading chord charts, circle of fifths, rhythm and lead guitar, scales and reading notes. My syllabus includes writing lyrics using a poetic and/or storytelling processes and how to convert ideas into song lyrics and forming musical arrangements into song parts i.e. verse, chorus and bridge and writing arrangements that conforms to the message and character of the song lyrics.
