Reading tabs becomes significantly easier once you understand the underlying acoustic technique required for musical phrasing. We will move through your specific challenges with a steady, systematic approach that respects your time and goals. My background at the Royal Northern College of Music ensures that our work on improvisation and electric technique remains grounded in musicality. Gentle precision defines my approach to the fretboard, where the hum of strings against fingertips sets the tone for our work. My teaching character is rooted in the academic rigour of a MMus Voice from the Royal Northern College of Music. I apply the same disciplined ear to guitar pedagogy that I utilise in my vocal practice.
Over 13 years, I have helped 238 students navigate everything from complex barre chords to intricate electric technique. My personal narrative as a musician informs how I break down rhythm and lead guitar patterns. I find that technical problems often vanish when we shift our perspective on fretboard geography. You will find my teaching style prioritises calm, clear communication at every stage of the process.
