About Maybelle

Teaching started as a small favor for a friend back then and simply never stopped. I find that my BA in French and ESL from U of T serves as the bedrock for the clear, direct communication I offer today. Helping students navigate grammar, everyday phrases, conversational fluency, business French, pronunciation, and interview preparation feels like a natural extension of my own academic path.

Exam preparation for DELF or DALF requires focus on cultural context, liaison, and nasal sounds. I prefer to help you check your own work so the habit outlasts our time together. It just feels right.

About the lesson

Focusing on the mechanics of language feels like sharpening a pencil before drawing a portrait. Nine sessions are often the baseline I use to ensure we cover the necessary territory for both beginners and advanced speakers.

Because I am a CELTA-trained teacher with 4 years of experience, I know how to structure these blocks to build real competence. We start with a diagnostic level test before we build the plan to reach your 7.0 goal.

I guide you through the intricacies of the language, ensuring every nasal sound and liaison is addressed with care. After that, we look at where your specific gaps exist. You will find that I am quite articulate when explaining complex grammar rules. My approach aims to stay steady, patient, and grounded in real-world application.
