About Charnque
Starting your first session means we jump straight into the sounds of everyday phrases to build your confidence. I bring 7 years of experience to ensure you grasp the cultural context behind every verb conjugation. We will work on your writing skills and conversational fluency by focusing on the nuance of Québécois phrasing.
My background in the chanson circuit informs how I teach you to hear the language properly. You will find that learning business French or simple travel phrases becomes much easier when we treat it like a performance. The flow of our time together is structured but remains relaxed for all intermediate learners.
It is quite rewarding to see you find your voice while you polish your pronunciation. I look forward to hearing how you progress with these specific tools. Enjoying the learning process is the best way to ensure you keep going.

Absolute beginners and travelers often find themselves stuck when trying to learn a new language. I am a native Québécois speaker who built my skills through 13 years of gigging in the chanson circuit. I have taught 400 students over 7 years of experience. My teaching combines guitar and French because the language is best learned through the rhythm of song.
