About Sherman
"Teaching violin feels like uncovering a hidden language, even when the fingers struggle to follow the mind. Having worked with 92 students over 5 years, I rely on my Artist Diploma from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to bridge the gap between effort and sound.
We focus on sight reading, proper posture and hold, and the nuance of classical repertoire. I integrate grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity alongside music theory to build total musicianship. My methods cover spiccato and staccato bowing, tone production, and intensive ear training to sharpen your sense of pitch. This work requires high focus but yields authentic musicality."
