About Anastasia

I have years of experience in professional gymnastics (30 hours of practice a week). I have had a successful career that included holding the title of the city champion, as well as the Sports Association champion multiple times. I have also participated in all-Russian championships with good results. My international career also includes winning several international tournaments. I have graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University, majoring in Cognitive Science. The degree equally focuses on how our learning and thinking happens in the mind, and on how our bodies follow the mind to form new skills and competence. I have been a coach for several years now, starting from teaching at the sports school I have graduated from, training kids at multiple private sports schools in Saint-Petersburg, and privately tutoring students of all ages. I enjoy helping people reach their goals and create new ones, as well as seeing them succeed in a sport I have once fallen in love with.

About the lesson

I have a personal approach to every student that takes into consideration their skills and goals, as well as their character. Prioritizing safety and correct execution over rushing into new elements each lesson ensures steady progress without injuries. Each practice has a thorough warm-up, conditioning and stretching, as well as acrobatics and apparatus work (depending on your level). By request, we can include elements of classical choreography to make sure you have impeccable lines when you perform. I make sure my students know their strengths, and give positive feedback, as well as constructive corrections.

Anastasia is a lovely coach. Her competence and knowledge in the field are incredible, and her ability to get a kid to listen borders on magical. There's no shouting and no lectures, but my daughter is motivated for her practices, giddy about getting to do gymnastics.
