About Nora
Progress moves at the speed of individual comfort. I assess your current abilities during our first meeting to ensure the tempo remains productive but never overwhelming. We look at tuning and maintenance as the first step of every session to establish good habits.
My 13 years of experience inform the way I break down complex electric techniques into manageable components for all skill levels. We examine scales and modes in a way that feels organic rather than purely mechanical. Grade exam candidates find that my structured approach helps them prepare with clarity and purpose. Songwriting often emerges naturally once students gain confidence in their technical foundation.
Blues progressions serve as a common bridge for those moving from beginner to intermediate status. We shift between technical drills and creative expression to keep the mind engaged. You might find that the most difficult passages become clear once we adjust your physical approach. I aim to make our time together feel as rewarding as it is informative.

Music captured my attention early through the rhythmic pulse of my Colombian upbringing and eventually led me to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Spanish at the University of Melbourne. Those formative years shaped my approach to sound as a native Spanish speaker and a musician deeply rooted in guitar traditions. I now guide kids, adults, and absolute beginners through the intricacies of scales, modes, and the technical demands of electric guitar playing. My work spans from helping grade exam candidates reach their milestones to assisting songwriters in building their own compositions.
Tuning and guitar maintenance remain central to my practice because a well-cared for instrument is the foundation of all progress. This background allows me to connect with students on a level that respects the history of the instrument while embracing modern styles. Whether you are aiming for precise blues progressions or simply learning the basics, we can navigate these paths together.
Please reach out if you would like to arrange a time to talk about your goals. I currently offer a free trial session to assess your starting level so we can build a plan that fits you.
