About Donavan
I am currently a traveling and touring jazz musician with a multi-Grammy winning artist. My duties inside this group are playing trombone, being the head arranger of the music, and composing throughout our time on the road. I have been a professional jazz musician for over 10 years, and have taught many students starting in the latter half. My experience at a world-renowned conservatory filled me with the necessary knowledge of music and performance, with great help from the professors there. I have traveled to many countries and played a numerous amount of shows, and I am grateful to always be learning while I'm on the road. I think self-study is so important to progress oneself in this field, and I believe that I can assist bright students in reaching their desired goals.

Students can expect a well-rounded and in depth education within the subject of their choosing. With lesson plans, homework, and assistance with outside coursework, students will be provided the external support necessary to aid their learning in their studies.
Trombone, euphonium, trumpet and tuba students should expect materials for weekly practice, along with in depth analysis of their band/orchestra repertoire.
Jazz theory/harmony, general music theory, and music history students should expect coursework that follows an overall explanation and digestion of the subject, along with supplemental resources and help with their outside studies.
