About Aleena

I’m Aleena, a vocalist, choir leader, and vocal mentor dedicated to helping students build healthy technique, confidence, and a love for singing.

My experience includes serving as Choir President, a four-year Choir Council member, and section leader in Symphonic Choir, Chamber Choir, and A Cappella. I’m a three-time NJMEA All-State Chorus member (ranked 4th in New Jersey), a two-year NJSMA Region Choir participant, and a recipient of Outstanding Vocalist of the Month from the Mayo Performing Arts Center. I’ve also worked as a teaching assistant for a middle school select ensemble and conducted their Spring Concert, giving me hands-on experience guiding younger singers.

In addition, I completed an independent research study on choral singing and respiratory health using spirometry, which informs my focus on healthy, efficient vocal technique. I offer personalized lessons for beginners through advanced students, whether preparing for auditions or simply looking to improve.

My goal is to help each student become a confident, expressive singer who enjoys growing their voice.

My goal is to help students become confident, healthy, and expressive singers while creating a fun, encouraging learning environment.

Every lesson is personalized, because every voice is different. Whether a student is singing for the first time, preparing for a school or honor choir audition, or simply looking to improve, I tailor each lesson to their individual goals and experience level. Lessons begin with vocal warm-ups and breathing exercises to build healthy technique and breath support.

From there, we focus on pitch, tone, range, rhythm, diction, musical expression, and performance confidence using songs the student enjoys or repertoire they are preparing. I also provide constructive feedback and clear practice strategies so students know exactly what to work on between lessons. What sets my teaching apart is my combination of performance, leadership, teaching, and research experience. As a three-year NJMEA All-State Chorus member (ranked 4th in New Jersey), section leader, Choir President, and teaching assistant for a middle school select ensemble, I’ve learned how to perform at a high level and explain vocal technique in an accessible, encouraging way.

My lessons are ideal for beginners, elementary through high school students, choir members, audition preparation, and anyone looking to grow as a singer in a supportive environment. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, more skilled, and excited to continue singing.
